OCEAN COUNTY – Congressman Andy Kim (D-3rd) will be holding a telephone town hall to update residents about COVID-19, and how the CARES Act is helping individuals and businesses.
The call will take place at 3 p.m. on April 8. Residents can sign up for the town hall here: kim.house.gov/live. They have to sign up one hour before the event.
Rob Asaro-Angelo, Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, will be on the call and will provide an update on how New Jersey is implementing the enhancements to the unemployment system that were passed under the CARES Act.
“This telephone town hall is aimed at making sure you have all the information you need to stay safe and access the critical resources available to working people and small businesses,” Kim said. “While I wish I could see people from our community at my monthly in-person town halls, we will continue to hold these virtually as long as there’s a public health risk posed by this virus.”
The 3rd Congressional District includes parts of Ocean County such as Brick, Berkeley, Toms River, and Lacey townships.
