BRICK – Another arrest has been made in relation to child pornography in Ocean County. A Brick Township man has been arrested and charged with one count of 3rd Degree Possession of Child Pornography, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato.

David Michael Courtney, 18, was arrested on June 27 following the execution of a search warrant, according to Brick Police. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s High Tech Crime Unit (HTCU), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and Brick Township Police Department teamed up to execute the search and arrest Courtney.

Courtney is currently being held in the Ocean County Jail pending a court appearance.

The arrest stemmed from OCPO proactive cyber monitoring as well as a referral from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to HIS informing of a group sharing child pornography originating out of Canada.

An investigation found that an already active investigation by HTCU had direct connectivity to the referral received and had already determined Courtney to be the source of the images emanating from Ocean County.
