FREEHOLD – The New Jersey Department of Education recently changed the date of the Special School Election to October 2, 2018, according to Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon.
The original date was scheduled for September 25, 2018; a date that coincides with the second day of Sukkot, a day of Jewish religious observance. After careful consideration, the Commissioner of Education was authorized to change the election date so it did not conflict with religious observance.
