WALL – Diane Turton recently traveled overseas to retrieve her sign that made the international journey to France after Superstorm Sandy.
Back in May, Jersey Shore Online reported that a Diane Turton, Realtors sign had washed up on the beach in Bordeaux, France. The sign was discovered by Hannes Frank who then reached out to the company through its website. A little research determined that the sign had blown off a property in Wall Township during Superstorm Sandy.
According to Turton’s marketing director Perry Beneduce, the specific cell phone number listed on the sign narrowed the search down to determine that it had come from Wall. A little more digging found that the sign had been blown away from a waterfront listing in Brielle.
The sign left the property landing in Debbie’s Creek, traveling through the Manasquan River and out into the Atlantic.
Turton and Beneduce met up with Frank and his family on August to retrieve the sign and see the exact spot where it was found.
The sign will be housed in a museum after its return to the states.
