HAZLET – NJ Transit train service was suspended overnight after a trespasser was struck in Monmouth County, according to NJ Transit officials.
Service on the North Jersey Coast Line was suspended after an unidentified man was struck at approximately 9:40 p.m. last night. The train was traveling from Long Branch to New York Penn Station when it was suspended near Hazlet, officials said.
After approximately three hours, service was resumed.
There were 70 travelers on the delayed train heading to NY Penn Station. NJ Transit reports that no one aboard the train was injured in the incident.
