Police Investigate Three Separate Shooting Incidents In Nine Hours

  LONG BRANCH – One person is left hospitalized after three separate shooting incidents occurred within nine hours, authorities said.

  The first incident happened around 2:45 p.m. on October 10. Shots fired were reported at the intersection of Halberton Place and North 5th Avenue and when police arrived, they found a home had been struck by multiple rounds of gunfire.

  Shortly after 9:45 p.m., police responded to a shooting at a local convenience store at 800 Broadway. Authorities later discovered that a shooting victim had been dropped off at a local hospital for treatment.

  The third shooting incident occurred just before 11:45 p.m. in the area of 300 Long Branch Avenue.

  Authorities have confirmed that multiple shots were fired at each location and all three incidents are believed to be related. 

  The one victim remains hospitalized in stable condition at this time.
