
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP – Three people were taken to CentraState Medical Center with minor injuries Wednesday morning after a police cruiser collided with a car driven by a teen driver.
The officer, Kevin Cherney, hit the 2004 BMW driven by a 17-year-old male from Manalapan and his female passenger leaving Adelphia Plaza.
The accident occurred around 8:15 a.m. when Cherney was responding to an accident at Kozloski Road and Route 537.
The road was closed for about 45 minutes. All three were treated and released.
