Monmouth Man Indicted For Sex Assault Of Minors

FREEHOLDA Monmouth County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against a former Keansburg resident charged with the sexual assault of two minors that took place over 20 years ago, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Julia Alonso announced on Monday.

Robert L. Wisiak, 45, of South River, was indicted on two counts of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault.

Wisiak was originally arrested by members of the Keansburg Police Department on Friday, October 20, 2023.

 An investigation revealed that the sexual assaults by Wisiak upon the victim, who was a minor under the age of 13 at the time, took place on multiple occasions between the years of 1999-2001.

Subsequent to the announcement of the arrest, a second victim came forward. That victim was sexually assaulted during the same time frame and was also a minor under the age of 13 at the time of the attacks.

Convictions of this nature are commonly punishable by terms of up to 20 years in a state prison, along with being subject to the provisions of Megan’s Law registration and Parole Supervision for Life.
