TRENTON – A Perth Amboy man admitted to conspiring to distribute heroin and cocaine in the Bayshore area of Monmouth and Middlesex counties.
Richard Gethers, 47, also known as “Richie” or “Bart,” pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin. He also admitted to conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute a quantity of cocaine.
He was charged back in November, and is the third of 15 defendants thus far to plead guilty.
He faces a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison and a $5 million fine. He’s scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 8.
