FREEHOLD – The Freehold Township man who was stabbed in the abdomen while riding his bike on Stonehurst Boulevard remains in stable condition, police announced.
The 24-year old was on his way home on Sunday, Jan. 6 when he was jumped by two masked men. The men chased, beat, and stabbed the victim, but nothing was stolen, police said. The suspects fled the area on foot.
Police responded to the scene at 68 Stonehurst Avenue where they found the victim with an abdominal wound.
The victim was then rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment, where he remains in stable condition, according to police.
