OCEAN COUNTY – After a month-long investigation, two Ocean County men have been arrested in connection to a string of burglaries at local stores throughout the county, police said.

Ryan Dautorio, 34, of Jackson, and Damian Sanchirico, 36, of Brick, have been charged with multiple counts of burglary and theft.

Investigation began on April 26 after the All-Star Bagel located at 1900 Route 37 had been broken into, the suspects stealing both the cash register and the tip jar.

Manchester Police later identified the suspects as Dautorio and Sanchirico. Surveillance showed the duo commit another burglary at Lakewood Industrial Park on May 11. According to police, the stolen property from the Lakewood theft was valued at over $20,000 and was fully recovered.

Sanchirico was apprehended on May 11, while Dautorio evaded capture until May 15. Authorities searched Dautorio’s home in Jackson, which led to the discovery of additional incriminating evidence.

Following numerous interviews, police were able to confirm that Dautorio and Sanchirico were also connected to several other burglaries in Toms River, including incidents at NY Water Bagel (542 Fischer Boulevard), Breaking Bread (1177 Fischer Boulevard), Pizza & Panini (452 Rt. 37), and Siga’s Pizza (1808 Rt. 37).

Dautorio and Sanchirico were charged with numerous counts of criminal mischief, burglary, and theft. They are both currently lodged in Ocean County Jail.

The Manchester Township Police Department extends its gratitude to the Jackson Township Police Special Enforcement Unit, Lakewood Township Police Investigations Bureau, and Toms River Police Investigations Bureau for their diligent work in assisting with this investigation to a successful conclusion.
