MANCHESTER – In honor of its 50 years, the Manchester Township High School and Middle School Gospel Chorus will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. and his contributions to the Civil Rights Movement and place in American history.
The Chorus will give a concert 6:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at the high school, 101 Colonial Drive. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will follow.
The 50th anniversary celebration will include a proclamation from Manchester Mayor Kenneth Palmer and a presentation to Queen Cannon, who founded the chorus.
A surprise guest and community leader who walked with Dr. King will also speak.
Tickets are $5 per person, $4 for seniors and students.
