MANCHESTER – An 89-year-old Manchester man flipped his vehicle in his driveway Friday evening, police reported.
Joseph Vivo, a resident in the Renaissance retirement community, overaccelerated while pulling into his driveway. He hit a tree and snow bank, the force of which caused his vehicle to overturn in his driveway.
Vivo was still in his vehicle when police arrived. He was extricated and transported to Community Medical Center in Toms River for non-life-threatening injuries.
Ridgeway and Manchester Volunteer fire departments, Quality Medical Transport and paramedics from MONOC responded.
Ptl. Steven Wendruff of the Manchester Township Police Department’s Patrol Bureau is investigating.
