MANCHESTER — A large contingent of police vehicles descended on the Surf and Stream Campground in Manchester Sunday night for what authorities describe as an active investigation.
Ocean County Scanner News was the first to report that something was going on in the area of Ridgeway Road. The road was closed while officers combed the scene.
A Nixle alert was sent out shortly after 8:30 p.m. but Manchester Police said there was an investigation and that there was no threat to the public.
[adrotate banner="278"]Ocean County Scanner News reported that multiple units from Manchester, the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office were involved with the probe and that a body had been found.
