MANCHESTER – Police released more information about a serious crash involving three vehicles that resulted in a car fire.

Police said that a Ram ProMaster Amazon truck was heading east on Beckerville Road at around 3 p.m. The driver failed to yield the right of way to another vehicle, a Saab 93 Aero, and both sustained front end damage. The Saab caught fire after collision. The Ram spun about 90 degrees and struck the front of a Chrysler that was also traveling east on Beckerville.

Although initial reports suggested that someone was airlifted, police said that all patients were taken via ambulance.

The driver of the Ram, Moussa Traore, 54, of Burlington, was brought to Jersey Shore University Medical Center and is in stable condition.

The driver of the Saab, Terry Cain III, 24, of Manchester, was brought to Community Medical Center for injuries. He was outside of the vehicle when first responders arrived and started putting out the fire.

The driver of the Chrysler, Stine Eriksen, 19, of Plumsted, was uninjured.

Police are still investigating the crash but said that failure to yield the right of way appears to be the primary factor. It is being investigated by Ptl. Brendan Brush of the department’s Traffic Safety Unit. Numerous agencies responded, including EMTs from the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Services, Manchester Township Fire Department, Whiting Volunteer Fire Department, Paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Joint Base Fire Department and Accurate Towing.
