On Oct. 13, Manchester Police responded to the area of County Route 530 and Manchester Blvd. for reports of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. Once on the scene, officers observed a black 2011 Chevrolet Cruz stationary in the east bound shoulder of Route 530 and the pedestrian lying in the east bound lane of the roadway in front of the Whiting Town Center driveway.

According to police, 73-year old Waldemar Kurbansade of Whiting was driving eastbound on Route 530 when he struck 82-year old Anna Rammos, also of Whiting. Rammos was attempting to cross the street in front of the Dollar General when the incident occurred.
