WHITING – A car crashed into a Columbine Avenue home Thursday night, Manchester Township Police said.
The 2014 Nissan Altima, driven by 60-year-old Dawn Morace, accelerated and crashed into the front door and porch of a home across the street. It happened while Morace while pulling out of her garage.
The Altima stopped in the living room/kitchen area of the house.
Inside, 71-year-old Jean Minarik of Whiting, was uninjured. Her guest, 52-year-old Lisa Shiner of Yorba Linda, California, sustained a minor injury but refused treatment.
Morace was uninjured. She was arrested on suspicious on DWI.
Quality Medical Transport, the Whiting Volunteer Fire Department and the Manchester Township Building Inspector assisted at the scene.
The crash is being investigated by Patrolman Kevin Rembach and Patrolman Michael O’Hara of the department’s Traffic Safety Unit.
