MANCHESTER – No one in the Eastern Service Area will be allowed to water their lawns or plants from noon on June 17 until noon on June 18, officials said. Violators are subject to fines.

This is due to work being done on the bridge at Colonial Drive. A section of the township water main on the bridge must be relocated overnight on June 17.

While irrigation will be outlawed during that time, the township is asking people to limit water use as much as possible. This includes commercial businesses as well as residences.

The Eastern Service Area generally includes land along Route 37 and east of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
