MANCHESTER – A Millville man was arrested after stealing an unlocked and running vehicle from the Wawa in Whiting at 7:20 p.m. March 13.
Philip R. Catlett Jr., 43, was charged with burglary, theft, and theft of means of conveyance by Manchester Township Police. He was also charged by Seaside Heights Police with possession of stolen property.
Catlett was stopped in Seaside Heights after reports of the stolen vehicle were shared by authorities.
Earlier, police watched surveillance footage which showed Catlett pulling into the Wawa parking lot in a gold-colored van. He entered the victim’s vehicle and fled the parking lot.
He was arrested just an hour later in Seaside Heights, processed, and taken to Ocean County Jail.
