LAKEHURST – A Lakehurst man was arrested Nov. 22 after providing police with false insurance documents.
Lakehurst Police said Nelis Alexis Ortez-Mazariegos, 30, was arrested by Officer Harold Hester.
Mazariegos was charged with presenting a false auto insurance card to law enforcement. He was also issued summonses for unlicensed driver, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, uninsured motorist, unregistered vehicle, fictitious plates and careless driving.
Police did not offer details of what accident he was involved in.
Mazariegos was issued a summons for the charge and released pending a mandatory court appearance.
Lakehurst Police released this information Dec. 12.
