MANCHESTER – Authorities have confirmed no injuries resulted from a house fire that occurred early this morning in the Township.
Fire personnel and other first responders were called to a home in Pine Acres Manor regarding a fire. According to police, smoke and flames were seen emerging from the rear of the home. Officers quickly determined that the residents had self-evacuated and no injuries resulted from the fire.
Due to the expansive flames, the home sustained fire and water damage inside with the building inspector deeming it uninhabitable.
Authorities believe the fire was not suspicious in nature, however the exact cause and origin has not been determined.
Assisting at the scene were members of the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Company, Manchester Volunteer Fire Company, Ocean County Fire Marshall, Manchester Township Building Department, Manchester Township OEM and the American Red Cross.
The fire us currently under investigation by Detective Richard Conklin of the Manchester Township Police Investigations Bureau and the Ocean County Fire Marshall.
