JACKSON – Jackson first responders saved a two-year old child from drowning in a swimming pool this week.
On the morning of August 21, Jackson Police Officers Matthew Roth and Keith Uricks responded to a residence on Marymount Court for a report of a 2 year old that had been pulled out of a swimming pool and was not breathing.
Once on the scene, officers noted members of Hatzolah EMS were performing CPR on the child and were eventually able to regain a pulse. The child was then transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment.
According to police, an initial investigation showed that the child left the home through a rear door and climbed into the pool. He was later discovered by an adult who ventured into the backyard after returning from being out.
