Pedestrian Struck In Jackson

JACKSON – Police continue to investigate an incident where a teen was struck by a car on South New Prospect Road in Jackson on Jan. 23.

The teenaged male was hit by a 1998 Ford F-150 while crossing the street. The driver of the vehicle was a 17-year old resident of Jackson; he stopped his vehicle after striking the pedestrian.

The pedestrian sustained injuries in the accident and was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Police Officers Joseph Candido and Donald Lasko of the department’s Traffic Safety Unit are investigating the incident. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Jackson Police Department at 732-928-1111.
