JACKSON – A Jackson man was killed in a crash involving a dump truck on Wednesday, according to reports.
The Asbury Park Press and other news outlets wrote that the crash took place shortly after noon. The dump truck was loaded with dirt and was coming down Cassville Road toward Manchester as a 2014 Infiniti Q50 pulled out in front of it from Reed Road.
The driver of the Infiniti, Jose Romero-Castillo of Jackson, died at the scene. A passenger, Elena Velasquez-Govilan, 33, of Lakewood, was seriously injured, Jackson Director of Public Safety Joseph Candido told the press. She is in stable condition.
