JACKSON – The Jackson Liberty Marching Band took to the big stage at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on the Atlantic City Boardwalk recently, performing a featured number for the hotel’s one year anniversary celebration.
On June 28, the band traveled down to Atlantic City after being hand selected to perform alongside other great performers in a live show. Only a handful of performers, including “The Jersey Boys,” were selected to play before thousands of spectators and executives at the Hard Rock.
“It was hot, but worth it because we never participated in an event such as this before,” said Jackson Liberty Senior Anthony Demateis.
“It was a fun experience. Learning a routine for such a small space presented its challenges, but I loved how the final product came out and so did the crowd,” said Band Director Scott Katona.
Not only did the marching band get to play for a huge crowd, but the live show was also filmed and shared with Hard Rock resorts worldwide.
Following the show, the Liberty Marching Band participated in the Hard Rock’s parade down the boardwalk along with Miss New Jersey, The Philadelphia Soul Cheerleaders and many more.
