Jackson Police Officers Promoted

JACKSON – The Jackson Police Department recently promoted Trevor Crowley on his promotion to police sergeant and Christopher Parise on his promotion to police lieutenant. They were recognized at the recent council meeting.

Sergeant Crowley began his law enforcement career with the Lambertville Police Department in 1989 after graduating from the Somerset Police Academy. He began working for the Jackson Police Department in 1992, working the overnight shift. Crowley served as a member on both the department’s Special Response Team and the Traffic Safety Bureau, where he was transferred in 1998. Not only this, but Crowley was also one of the first police officers in New Jersey to be recognized and certified by Kean University as a Level 1 Traffic Safety Specialist.

He is also a member of the Ocean County Fatal Accident Support Team, Ocean County Traffic Officers Association, the New Jersey Police Traffic Officers Association, and serves as an instructor for the Emergency Vehicle Operators Course at the Ocean County Police Academy and with the agency. He also provides instruction for the radar operator’s course, pursuit policy, defensive driving and work zone safety.

Crowley has earned various awards, including: Good Conduct Ribbon, Excellent Police Duty Ribbon, Achievement Ribbon, Unit Citation and Letters of Commendation.

Following the transition of a new officer into the Traffic Safety Bureau, he will be assigned supervision of a patrol squad.

Lieutenant Parise began with the Jackson Police Department in March, 1995 and graduated from the 191st Municipal Class at the New Jersey State Police Academy in Sea Girt. He began on the Patrol Division, served as a member of the department’s Special Response Team and a Field Training Officer for newly hired officers, and was involved in updating the FTO training program.

Parise was also the P.B.A. Local 168 President and 2002’s Officer of the Year. He is the Deputy Coordinator with the Jackson Township Office of Emergency Management, one of the department’s CPR instructors, the liaison for Project Lifesaver, and the Township’s Radiological Officer.

He was promoted to sergeant in January 2009. Parise has earned various awards, including: Life Saving Ribbon, Unit Citation, Excellent Police Duty Ribbon, Achievement Ribbon, Command Citation Letter and Letters of Commendation.

Lieutenant Parise will be serving as the Commander of the department’s Professional Standards Unit.
