JACKSON – A 51-year-old Jackson man was arrested for selling drugs out of a local business.
Brian Tice was charged with second-degree possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine (over half ounce), second-degree possession of firearms while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jackson Police were called to Spring Auto Wreckers on Cerrina Road on April 2 after reports of narcotics being sold from there, Capt. Steven Laskiewicz said.
Police found methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a 12-gauge shotgun and a .22-caliber rifle. The items allegedly belonged to Tice, who was an employee of Spring Auto Wreckers and lived on the property.
Tice was released on summonses and is pending a court appearance.
Laskiewicz said a 35-year-old man was also arrested on an unrelated warrant out of Howell.
Police are continuing to investigate and may file more charges.
