JACKSON – Being drunk didn’t stop one woman from driving a child to school.
Jackson Township Police arrested a 43-year-old woman in the parking lot of McAuliffe Middle School for DWI. Officers Andy Falzarano and Craig Lindenberg responded to the school at 9:06 a.m. Oct. 9.
The unidentified woman was charged with DWI with a minor child in the vehicle, DWI on school grounds, refusal to submit to breath samples and reckless driving. Additionally, she was charged with abuse, cruelty and neglect.
Jackson Township middle schools begin their days at 8:05 a.m.
The woman was released on summons pending a court appearance.
Jackson Township Police do not release names of those arrested.
