HOWELL – Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the early hours of Jan. 9 in the Point O Woods section of the township. No shots were fired, only minor injuries were reported.
A 27-year old man called 9-1-1 following the 2:30 a.m. home invasion at his Sequoia Court residence. Police stated that the victim identified two suspects:
- • A white male, early 20s, thin build, 5’ 11”, and wearing a black ski mask
- • A light-skinned, Hispanic male, with big lips, bushy eyebrows, 5’ 8”, between 195-200 lbs., and wearing an orange wool ski mask exposing the center of his face
One of the two suspects had a handgun with a flashlight and laser attached to it in his possession.
The victim was assaulted by one suspect upon attempts to identify himself. Despite encouragement from the other suspect, no shots were fired at the victim.
The victim’s Sequoia Court residence was ransacked, police report, as if the suspects were looking for something specific that they knew they would find there. The suspects left with a Gucci handbag in a grey or silver colored SUV.
The victim sustained only minor injuries in the incident.
“Based upon evidence retrieved from inside the residence, we believe this to an isolated Incident specific to this location and/or person,” stated Howell police. “We do not believe this was a random act.”
