HOWELL – A pedestrian was struck during the Tuesday evening rush, leading to the shutdown of Route 9 north at Lanes Mill Road.
Howell Police confirm the pedestrian was being taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with serious injuries.
Police said the injuries appear to be life threatening.
There is no word on how long the road will be closed.
