HOWELL – He’s charged with robbery and stalking of two women. He may have hurt more, so police have released his photo and other information to ask other victims to come forward.

Tristan Reyes, 19, of Howell, was found to have followed in a black 2004 Honda Odyssey at least two women from township shopping centers to their homes. Police learned he had followed more women, possibly to Freehold Raceway Mall, with the intention of robbing them at knifepoint.

Police obtained surveillance footage from one of the victims, a 38-year-old woman from Ramtown. The footage showed a man dressed in all black with a face mask skulking around the home while she put away groceries. The family’s Rottweiler ran from the garage and barked at the man, causing him to sprint to his van.

The video made it rounds on social media, possibly leading to a positive identification of Reyes.

Reyes was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and fourth-degree stalking.

Police are asking other victims or anyone with more information to contact them. They should speak with Det. Corporal Nancy Carroll at 732-938-4574, ext. 2182 or the officer in charge at 732-938-4111. Anonymous tips can be sent to p3tips.com, Crime Stoppers at 800-671-4400, or texts to “MONMOUTH” to 274637.
