BRICK – A 90-year-old man crashed his Toyota Camry into the CVS on Burnt Tavern Road this morning.
Brick Police reported that John Bellis was attempting to park his vehicle at the pharmacy at 7:57 a.m. when he somehow accelerated and rammed into the building. While the impact caused significant damage to the front of the pharmacy, no injuries were reported.
Brick Township Office of Emergency Management, Brick Township Police E.M.S., Brick Township Fire Technical Rescue Team—comprising Breton Woods, Pioneer Hose, Laurelton and Herbertsville volunteer fire companies—responded.
“The store manager reported that interior of the pharmacy will be closed for the day, while it’s drive thru remains open,” officials said.
