FREEHOLD – A Brick man was recently indicted for discarding a dead body in Wall Township, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Edward Ramirez, 51, was indicted for unlawfully disturbing, moving or concealing the dead body of 35-year old Jamie Leis.
On May 17, 2018, law enforcement discovered Leis’s body near Brighton Avenue and Rockefeller Drive in Wall Township. Wall Township Police responded to a report of a body wrapped in a tarp at approximately 10:29 a.m., calling for assistance from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Further investigation led to Ramirez’s arrest. He faces up to 10 years in state prison.
