BRICK – A driver was thrown from a vehicle as a result of a collision in Brick Township last night, police report.
On Sunday, Jan. 5, police responded to the area of Route 70 and Van Zile Road for a crash that occurred just before 7:45 p.m. The crash occurred when one vehicle ran the red light at the intersection, according to police. One driver was thrown from the vehicle.
Two individuals were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Route 70 westbound lanes were shut down while police were on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
