BRICK – The Brick Township Police Department is asking the public for information that would help find a suspect who was driving an all-terrain vehicle when he struck an officer.
The incident happened at about 1 p.m. on Aug. 8. The vehicle was a quad, and possibly 125cc.
The driver is described as a white male, medium height, stocky build, wearing a helmet at the time. He was last scene in the area of 19th Avenue, near Branch Boulevard and Lindbergh Drive.
He was with another male, who was described as tall and thin with dark-colored hair in a pony tail. This subject was driving a two-wheeled dirtbike, approximately 60-80cc.
The public is encouraged not to take any action against these subjects except notifying the police at 732-262-1100. “At this time we have no reason to believe there is a danger to the public. We’re just looking for a little help in identifying these subjects,” police said on social media.
“We have plenty of police officers in the area who can respond quickly,” the report said.
