LAKEWOOD – A crash has Route 70 West closed until further notice, Lakewood Police said via Nixle.
The Lakewood Scoop reported that an alleged two-car accident left one vehicle overturned around 1 p.m. at New Hampshire Avenue and Route 70. An occupant of that vehicle was extricated and airlifted to a local hospital.
No information was immediately available on the second vehicle, which allegedly fled the scene.
The accident knocked down a traffic light, which is reportedly laying across the road.
The Scoop is reporting that the Lakewood Police Traffic Safety Unit is investigating.
There were no other details available at 2:15 p.m. Dec. 27.
