WOODLAND – A Brick Township motorcyclist died Thursday evening in a crash on Route 72, New Jersey State Police said.
Christopher Elk, 46, was ejected from his motorcycle and as a result sustained fatal injuries, police said.
The incident occurred around 6:12 p.m. on Route 72 east, milepost 9.4, in Woodland Township in Burlington County. According to police, Elk was traveling east on a Suzuki motorcycle when it veered to the right, left the roadway and hit a tree.
At this time, the crash remains under investigation, police said.
