BRICK – A Township man has been arrested and charged for possessing child pornography, officials said.
Dennis Hubert, 42, of Brick, was charged with Possession of Child Pornography. Investigation stems from a referral from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, who received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone was sending and/or receiving images of child pornography from the internet.
Authorities identified an IP address associated with a home in Brick and ultimately identified the person accessing child porn as Hubert.
On October 24, authorities searched Hubert’s home and examined his electronic devices, which led to the discovery of several items of child pornography.
Hubert was taken into custody at his home and was transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he is presently lodged pending a detention hearing.
The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
