BRICK – A two-alarm fire tore through a condominium in Maple Leaf Park in the township. Firefighters were able to get the situation under control.
Herbertsville Fire Company #1 confirms the blaze began on November 6 shortly after 4:30 a.m. They were called to the scene of what was described as a smoke condition.
Officials said that while they were enroute, the police department confirmed the presence of active flames inside the home.
As a result, the call was upgraded to a two-alarm residential fire.
The first fire engine was on scene within minutes and made an extremely quick knock on the flames.
The cause of the blaze is unknown and is currently under investigation by the Brick Twp. Fire Dept/Fire Safety Bureau/Training Center.
Several departments from the surrounding area aided at the scene including Laurelton Fire Company #1, Pioneer Hose Co #1, Breton Woods Fire Company #1, Ramtown Fire Company, Point Pleasant Fire Department, Point Pleasant Beach Fire Company #2 and Ocean Fire Company.
