BRICK – A man who was struck on Lanes Mills Road died due his injuries.
William P. Johnson, 52, of Brick, was crossing Lanes Mills Road north of Stephan Road near Dorado Plaza around 8 p.m. on April 16. Johnson was not using the crosswalk when he was hit by driver Moshe Wachsman, 35, of Lakewood.
Emergency units responded to the scene, where police reported that Johnson had succumbed to his injuries on the scene. Traffic was detoured for about an hour-and-a-half during the investigation.
Officials determined Wachsman was not impaired nor was he on his cell phone at the time of the accident.
