BRICK – An armed robbery suspect was arraigned in federal court on Friday, Brick Police reported.
Kapri Drayton, 24, of Philadelphia, was one of three men who stormed the Rite Aid on Burnt Tavern Road, armed with guns, and robbed several thousand opioid pills before fleeing.
Details of his arrest were sparse, but police reported that their Det. Joseph Leskowski began his investigation into the robbery while assigned to the FBI Violent Gang Safe Streets Task Force back in September of 2016. Det. Robert Shepherd took over the investigation, and Drayton was eventually arrested.
No details on the other two suspects were released.
Drayton is currently held at a federal detention center in Philadelphia.
