BRICK – A fundraiser raised $15,215 for a local family fighting cancer, police reported.
Piper Coqueran, who is fighting acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and his family were the beneficiaries of a basketball fundraiser. The game pitted Brick police against Brick Township High School’s football team.
Police said this was the 27th annual Helping Hands Basketball Game. Chief James Riccio and business administrator Joanne Bergin attended the ceremony presenting the family with the money.
