TOMS RIVER – Two people were injured after a crash pushed cars into a Route 37 intersection, police said.
The crash occurred around 8:08 a.m. on April 15 at the intersection of Route 37 West and Mule Road. According to police, 61-year-old Barry Grillon of Berkeley Township was driving a silver 2020 Honda CRV when he hit 78-year-old Soheir William of Berkeley Township who was stopped in the right lane of Mule Road northbound.
As a result of the collision, both vehicles went into the intersection of Route 37.
Grillon had abdomen pain and was transported to Community Medical Center for treatment. William sustained an arm injury but refused transport, police said. William’s passenger, 67-year-old Laura Griggs of Berkeley Township, sustained a back injury and was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center for treatment.
Grillon was found at fault and issued a summons for Careless Driving. Both cars were removed from the scene by Freedom Towing.
