SOUTH TOMS RIVER – Police are investigating a shooting that occurred last night on Charles Drive in the borough.
On July 10 at approximately 7 p.m., South Toms River Police responded to a residence on Charles Drive for a report of shots fired.
“Thankfully, no one was hurt even though this gunfire occurred in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Detectives have been working through the night to determine who is responsible.” Prosecutor Billhimer stated.
Billhimer added that bullets and shell casings were recovered from the scene
South Toms River Police, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.
