BERKELEY – Central Regional Middle and High Schools were closed on December 1 due to lack of power.
A utility pole on Forest Hills Parkway came down, according to Ocean County Scanner News. Their reporting stated that it came down on its own, and not from a crashing vehicle. Photos showed the pole on the street in a tangle of wires, with Jersey Central Power & Light crews working on the problem.
Central Middle and High Schools share a campus and were both without power, Superintendent Triantafillos Parlapanides said on social media. School switched to 100% remote for the day and all vocational classes were cancelled.
