BERKELEY – Police in Berkeley have two mysteries on their hands and they are asking for the public’s help in solving similar cases of criminal mischief.

On June 19th, officers were called to the 100 block of Carlisie Road after someone threw an unknown object into the front windshield of a vehicle. A search of the scene turned up neither a suspect nor witnesses.

Then, two days later, a call came in on June 21st sending officers to the 200 block of Third Avenue. Someone had shot pellets at the front windshield of a vehicle parked on the street, causing significant damage.

A preliminary search didn’t turn up much and it didn’t appear that anyone witnessed the incident but the aftermath was quite prevalent.

It is unclear if both of these incidents are connected but police are investigating.

Anyone with information is urged to call Berkeley Township Police Headquarters at 732-341-1132 extension 611. Police say tips will be confidential.
