BERKELEY – Two Bayville residents were arrested and charged with dealing drugs out of a Berkeley home.
According to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, a no-knock search warrant was issued on April 9 at a Berkeley residence suspected of being used to distribute drugs.
Police seized more than five pounds of marijuana, approximately 225 THC vaping cartridges and quantities of psilocybin mushrooms. Detectives also seized paraphernalia associated with the distribution of marijuana and approximately $18,000 in cash.
Aryn Nemati, 25, of Bayville was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana Over Five Pounds but Less Than Twenty-Five Pounds, Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms in a Quantity of One Half Ounce but Less Than Five Ounces with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms, Financial Facilitation of Criminal Activity, Possession of Marijuana over Fifty Grams, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Heather Alexander, 22, of Bayville was charged with Possession of Marijuana Over 5 Pounds but Less Than 25 Pounds, Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms in a Quantity of One Half Ounce but Less Than Five Ounces with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms, Financial Facilitation of Criminal Activity, Possession of Marijuana over Fifty Grams, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The arrests were made by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Narcotics Strike Force, the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, the Berkeley Township Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit. The public and media are reminded that all defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
