BERKELEY – It’s been five years since the Super Foodtown moved out of the Baywick Plaza on Route 9 in Bayville. It had been a staple for more than 20 years before it closed in February of 2012. There is good news now! A new supermarket plans to open their doors this week.
Market Fresh Supermarket plans to open this Friday, December 1st in the old spot that was recently occupied by the Clark’s Food Store. According to Mayor Carmen Amato, “they will have a complete produce section, meats and other items of interest. The pricing will also be competitive.”
According to the owners, they plan on having a special grand opening in the coming weeks.
Mayor Amato tells Jersey Shore Online it will certainly help the local business community and residents.
