BERKELEY – A person who was declared missing and endangered was found yesterday by first responders.
The subject, whose name and age are not being released, was reported missing on August 21. On August 22, police received information that placed him in the area of Route 9 and Chain Boulevard. His last known location had been in a wooded area near a drainage basin off 9.
Berkeley Police, Berkeley EMS, the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Drone Unit, Bayville Fire Department and Berkeley Township Public Works responded to 351 Atlantic City Boulevard.
The man was found after a lengthy search. Police said he was taken into custody on the strength of multiple warrants out of Berkeley Township for violation of a court order. This investigation is ongoing.
