OCEAN GATE – Ocean Gate Police have confirmed an attack that occurred in town in the late hours of August 5.
According to an earlier report by RLS Media, a man sustained non-life threatening injuries to his face after he was allegedly attacked by a group of 5-6 men with what he believed to be a gun. The report places the incident at the 200 block of East Long Branch Avenue.
Police officials confirmed the incident but have yet to release any other information. The incident is under investigation.
